HIGH FIVE® Principles of Healthy Child Development (PHCD) is a 4-hour training that will help front-line leaders (anyone working with children aged 4 to 12) with the tools to immediately enhance the quality of the programs they are leading. It provides essential training in the HIGH FIVE Principles of Healthy Child Development so front-line leaders understand what they need to do to ensure each child’s social, emotional and cognitive needs are met.

At the completion of this training, learners will be able to:

  • Create meaningful relationships with the children in their programs by using the activities, information on child development, and resources provided in the training;
  • Speak a common language with their fellow staff that is based on prioritizing the developmental needs of the child;
  • Develop a child-centred program
