Program Description

We accept youth volunteers ages 14-18 to help with assisting our programs and keep the fun going with all our participants! This orientation is specifically for youth volunteers who are interested in volunteering in our summer programs at Hillcrest Centre including:

– Explorers Summer Day Camp

– Swim & Skate Program

– Playground Program (@ Prince Edward Park)

All volunteers (new and returning) must attend this orientation to be eligible for shifts.

FOR NEW VOLUNTEERS: A Youth Volunteer Application Form must be completed and returned back to Hillcrest Centre prior to attending this mandatory volunteer orientation. Available for download here:

IMPORTANT NOTE: Youth who are 16 and older will be required to complete a Police Information Check prior to becoming a volunteer. Please contact the Community Youth Worker at sally.chan@vancouver.ca for further instructions.
